6.20.09 - (Knoxville, IA)

The Up-and-Down struggleing came to a hault this Saturday at Knoxville Raceway during the Mid-Season Championship. Jonathan started 2nd row inside in his heat and quickly took the lead on the opening lap and stayed there for the remainer of the race. Cornell started 3rd row inside in the 15 lap A-Main event. After making his way into 2nd place, a caution came out with 5 laps to go and Jonathan set his sight on 1st place and point leader Clint Garner. When the green flag dropped, Cornell slid Garner for the lead, but was returned the favor in turn 3. Jonathan drove underneath Garner out of turn 4 and took a commanding lead for the last four laps to pick up the Mid-Season Championship.

6.13.09 - (Lebanon, MO) Eventhough the 28 is not running for W.O.W. points (due to conflict with Knoxville races), they followed the Winged Outlaw Warriors to Lebanon, MO to get some racing in on a Friday night. Jonathan started 3rd row inside in his heat and took the lead with 4 laps to go to claim the win. The re-draw for the A-Main line up seen the 28, 3rd row outside. For the majority of the race, Cornell battled for the 3rd and 4th place spot. Tough Luck occurred when Jonathan hit the cushion coming out of turn 2 sending the front wheels into the wall. The car suffered too much damage to continue and the Kiowa Line Builders 28 had to settle for a DNF.
