Jonathan is racing for WOW Rookie of the Year. He is not racing for points at any of the other tracks listed above due to conflict with the WOW races. Although he is not racing for points, here are the point standings at the tracks he competes at.

CORNELL LOSES POINTS LEAD AT "L.A." DUE TO DNF
7-25-08 - With just 2 races remaining at LA Raceway, Jonathan Cornell had a 17 point lead over 2nd place. Jonathan won his heat race and started 5th row inside in the A-Main. Cornell would make his way into the 6th position by lap 2. Coming out of turn 2, 5th place runner Phil Havellow slid up the track, colliding with Cornell. The 28 sprinter owned by Steve Smith would suffer too much damage to continue, making Cornell fall back to 2nd in points by 13.

RUBBER DOWN AT "24 RACEWAY"
7-19-08 - W.O.W made a trip to 24 Raceway in Moberly, MO. Cornell had to start 3rd row outside in the A-Main after the invert from the heat races. Jonathan made his way into 3rd place within the opening laps. With just a few laps left, he put a slide job on 2nd place Jon Corbin and began chasing down leader Randy Martin. Cornell ran out of laps and had to settle for a 2nd place finish.

3 FOR 3: CORNELL SWEEPS THE WEEKEND
7-11/12/13-08 - Cornell goes 3 for 3 this past weekend. Friday, July 11th, Cornell took Steve Smith's sprint car to another vicory at LA Raceway in La Monte, extending their point lead. Cornell then ventured to Lake Ozark Speedway on Saturday, picking up his first win at LOS. ROUGH DRIVER CRASHES CORNELL AT LAKESIDE
7-4-08 - The ASCSoT and W.O.W collided once again at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, KS. Over 53 drivers entered to compete at this event, including the Cornell in the Kiowa Line Builders 28. Jonathan started on the pole of his heat race... Read More

"OUT OF LAPS" AT L.O.S
6-28-08 - The Kiowa Line Builders, M&N Consultants, Ostrich Race Engines No. 28 made another trip to Lake Ozark Speedway. Jonathan started last in his heat race and finished 3rd, placing him 8th in the 20-lap A-Main. Cornell quickly made his way into 3rd place in the opening laps. A little over half way, Jonathan made a pass going into turn 3, taking 2nd from Bryan Grimes. Pole sitter Jerrod Hull had clase to a half track lead over Cornell. Jonathan was gaining on Hull quickly but ran out of laps and had to settle for 2nd.

CORNELL CHALKS UP ANOTHER WIN A DOUBLE X.
6-22-08 - Jonathan stretches his point lead as the 28 team chalks up another win in California, MO. Jonathan won his heat race and had to start 3rd row inside in the 20 lap A-Main. Cornell made his way into the lead by lap 4 and stayed their the rest of the way. This was Jonathans 3rd A-Main win at Double X in the Kiowa Line Builders, M&N Consultants, Ostrich race Engines No. 28.

TOP 5 AT LAKE OZARK SPEEDWAY
6-21-08 - Jonathan finished 2nd in his heat race earning a spot in the Dash. Having to start last in the dash, Cornell made his way to finish 2nd. Jonathan then had to start 2nd row in the A-Main. Cornell held on to 2nd for the majority of the race but eventually fell back to 5th while battling a very upset and tight racecar.

HEAVY HITTERS AT DONNELLSON, IA
6-18-08 - As the W.O.W. ventured to Lee County Speedway in Donnelson, IA, a ton of heavy hitters from the World of Outlaws, ASCS, and Sprint Invaders also made it to this Wednesday night event. Jonathan had drawn at the back of his heat race with a bunch of known 410 drivers including Danny Lasoski, Terry McCarl, Brian Brown, and Jason Johnson starting ahead of him. Read More

"W.O.W" POINT LEADER
6-14-08 - The Winged Outlaw Warriors made their 1st trip to 24 Raceway of the season. Jonathan was 10 points behind 3-time W.O.W points champion Randy Martin going into the race. Read More

CORNELL DOUBLES UP AT DOUBLE X
6-8-08 - Starting on the outside of row one in his heat race, Jonathan Cornell lead start to finish grabbing the win. An invert was drawn for the A-Main making Cornell start back in the 3rd row.

RUNNER-UP AT SPRINGFIELD
6-7-08 - Chasing for W.O.W Rookie of the Year, the 28 team made a trip to Springfield Raceway in Springfield, MO. Jonathan started 1st in his heat and stayed there. After the re-draw for the feature, Cornell had to start 2nd row outside. Jonathan made his way into 2nd by lap 3, but no more passing was done after that. The track became one groove around the bottom and Jonathan drove the Kiowa Line Builders, M&N Consultants, Ostrich Race Engines, No. 28 to a 2nd place finish.

ANOTHER WIN AT LA RACEWAY
6-6-08
- Jonathan Cornell started last in his heat race. As he was passing for 3rd on lap 2, Dakota Carroll switched lines to block him, but made contact with Cornell's front-end sending him spinning. After going to the back, Cornell made his way through the pack and won his heat. Having to start on the 4th row, Jonathan quicky made his way into the lead and took Steve Smith's sprint car to victory lane once again at LA Raceway.

6-1-08 - After finishing 3rd in his heat race, Jonathan Cornell had to start 2nd row outside in the feature. As the green flag dropped California's Tyler Blank shot to the lead with Sedalia's Jonathan Cornell biting his bumper. Read More

"DOUBLE-DUTY" AT L.A. RACEWAY
4-5-08 - The season opener kicked off Saturday April 5th at LA Raceway in La Monte, MO. Jonathan pulled "Double Duty" driving Steve Smith's sprint car in the 305 division and the Kiowa Line Builders, M&N Consultants, Yeager's Cycle Sales sprint car in the Winged Outlaw Warriors 360 division. D.A.R.E CAR SHOW
4-3-08 - Jonathan will have his 360 sprint car along with Steve Smith's 305 sprint car at the D.A.R.E Car Show, Saturday April 5th. The car show is from 10:00am - 2:00pm and will be held at 2nd & Osage in Downtown Sedalia, MO.
