3 FOR 3: CORNELL SWEEPS THE WEEKEND
7-11/12/13-08 - Cornell goes 3 for 3 this past weekend. Friday, July 11th, Cornell took Steve Smith's sprint car to another vicory at LA Raceway in La Monte, extending their point lead. Cornell then ventured to Lake Ozark Speedway on Saturday, picking up his first win at LOS. Double X Speedway came on Sunday seeing the 28 sprinter in victory lane for the 4th time this year in California, MO.

7-13-08 - (Hoseheads.com) The winged sprint feature also held a surprise finish. Bradley Roberts of Cole Camp shot to the lead at the drop of the green flag. Soon after, Curtis Evans, Norborne, took the top spot from Roberts who continued to hold off Jonathan Cornell of Sedalia. A single file restart gave Cornell the break he needed to move into second place leaving Roberts in third and California drivers Evan Martin and Bill Porter to battle for fourth. Cornell cut under Evans on the last and claimed the trophy leaving Evans to settle for second.
